Invitation for pre-qualification
Supply of 150 new midi city buses
This invitation for pre-qualification follows the general procurement
notice for this project, which was published in EBRD Procurement
Opportunities on 11.2.2005.
The Municipality of Tbilisi 'Municipal Busses United Enterprise' Ltd (the
Purchaser) intends applying the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the
Tbilisi public transportation project.
The Purchaser intends pre-qualifying firms to tender for the following
contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
Supply of 150 new midi 8 metre city buses with two doors and minimum
Euro-1 engines.
Pre-qualification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the
proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to suppliers from any country.
The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for payments to persons
or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is
prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken
under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
The pre-qualification documents must be duly completed and delivered to
the address below, not later than 16.5.2005 at 12.00 local time.
Documents, which are received late, may be rejected and returned unopened.
