The principal objective of this project that shall be implemented over a period of 6 (six) years is: To reduce poverty and increase levels of income sustainably in the project area. This will be achieved through:
a) Setting up of competent and effective organizations to sustainably manage community based-projects by community mobilization and institutional capacity building.
b) Improved production and productivity technology by outreach and technology transfer, distribution of improved seed/planting materials and natural resources management.
c) Accessibility to input and output markets for the project area smallholders by agricultural marketing infrastructure improvement and local initiative support.
d) Efficient management of the Project
