Institutional Development of the Ombudsman's Office. Palacio Do Governo მუშაობს Timor-Leste.
The overall objective of the Grant is to assist the creation and the institutional development of the Provedor’s Office (Ombudsman’s Office ) with regards to its anti-corruption and rule-of-law mandate as well as to facilitate its functioning as a credible and technically competent institution responsible for safeguarding the fundamental rights and freedoms of all legal and natural persons in Timor-Leste.
Specific objectives in support of the Provedor's anti-corruption activities are to:
(i) support the planning and preliminary development of structure and systems of the Office prior to the nomination of the Provedor de Direitos Humanos e Justica by the National Parliament;
(ii) establish the necessary systems and develop the necessary capacity for the Provedor’s Office to function in a credible, transparent, and technically competent manner; and
(iii) improve citizens' awareness of, and access to, the Provedor's services and resources
